Purpose
Our scholarship program helps remove financial barriers to swim safety by providing subsidized or free swim lessons to children and adults in need. We believe everyone deserves to be water-safe, regardless of income.
Why This Matters
Drowning is a leading cause of accidental death for children, and swim lessons greatly reduce that risk. Learning to swim isn’t just recreational—it’s a life-saving skill that builds confidence, promotes health, and supports lifelong safety. Yet many families face financial barriers to access, limiting opportunities for those who need it most.
About the Application
Anyone in the Triangle area can apply for themselves or their child. Recipients will receive 8 swim lessons over the summer, either fully covered or subsidized based on financial need. All necessary equipment will be provided, just bring a swimsuit!
